The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks Essay Topics

The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks Essay TopicsThe Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks is a book that has some interesting essay topics. The topics include DNA and the Future, Employment Discrimination, Family Involvement, and Religion, Science and Society, Drugs and Alcoholism, and Health Issues. There is no doubt that post-genomic research will impact people's lives in many ways. As a society we are still figuring out how to live with this new form of science. Some areas are still being discovered, as our knowledge of the past slowly starts to diminish. The topics that are covered in this book are some of the first topics that will be discussed. Most of us will have a hard time putting into words what we believe our relationship to the biological progress of humans should be. This is a subject that should be explored further by each of us. As a society we may find that we still do not know what to do about some of these issues. There are plenty of issues that need to be considered. It is unfortunate that many of the subjects that are presented are not talked about enough. But I am quite sure that the subject is not discussed at all. The authors of this book try to cover many of the subjects on each page. This is a good start. Perhaps there is more that can be done.I was hoping that this book would discuss some topics such as the issues of fertility and health issues. I was quite surprised that this topic did not receive any attention. I would also have liked to have seen more of an emphasis on the issues of race and discrimination. I really believe that this is one of the areas where we need to start off from a new foundation. However, it is not something that will ever be tackled without us taking the first step. The topics in this book are not the only essay topics for this book. There are also several other essays and short stories included. There is no denying that there is a lot to learn from this book. As a society we need to reach out to others and talk abo ut these topics.Of course, you cannot expect everyone to get all of their questions answered in this group discussion. But I will give you this advice. If you are not comfortable asking a question or trying to figure out a way to answer it, then it is probably best not to read this book. I read it a couple of times before I felt comfortable talking about the topics.I did like the Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks and I will continue to read more of this book. As I look at the topics mentioned in this book, I am glad that this book is published. The book is very good in my opinion.
